This is an Important Message from the President of the Society.

Because of Covid-19, our meetings will move ‘on-line’ for the foreseeable future.  Please go to the “Uncoming Events” page for further details and guidance on how to access these meetings.

We look forward to welcoming you all to our ‘virtual’ venue.

Please let us know what you think of this approach – we are in learning mode here!

Welcome to the Irish Hellenic Society

Established in 1962, the Irish Hellenic Society promotes social gatherings of an informative nature for anyone with an interest in Hellenic and Irish influenced cultures and peoples, both ancient and modern.

The objectives of the Society are to develop social and cultural relations between the Irish and the Greeks and to promote the mutual understanding of Greek and Irish culture through lectures and other events.

Meetings take place on Wednesdays towards the middle of each month at 7.30pm in the United Arts Club, 3 Upper Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin 2 from October to May. Typically, they have an illustrated talk, and discussion, followed by an informal chat in the congenial surroundings of the United Arts Club bar.

International speakers are invited to our more formal annual inaugural meeting held alternately in Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin.
